Por mi amor

I put this on my website so my girlfriend would always have this memory. Watch Venezuelan television station RCTV’s last broadcast.

What Hugo Chavez is doing to Venezuela is truly heartbreaking.

I take no joy when people die

This guy is an exception…
The getaway driver for the white supremacist group who murdered liberal Denver radio talk show host Alan Berg died in a Terre Haute, Indiana federal prison Monday.
As a person who worked, not only in Denver radio, but at KOA, I have always felt close to the Alan Berg murder. One [...]

A real “Hungry Man” dinner

Yummy…
When he woke up Wednesday morning, Richard Clifford didn’t know he had a date with 9½ pounds of meaty destiny.
Density is more like it.  Here’s the dimensions of the “tower of power.”
…measures a foot across and more than 5 inches high…The burger features 4½ pounds of beef, a pound of cheddar, five tomatoes, two onions, [...]

Oh the humanity!!!

A terrible day…
Beer and asphalt are leaking from two train cars after they hit a parked engine during an early morning train move.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway says they were in the process of moving 34 beer cars in their rail yard when four of the cars slide back, colliding with a parked engine and [...]

What were they thinking?

They obviously weren’t…
There are a number of things Karen Marshall does not like about her daughter’s Conifer High School yearbook. Three pages in particular; pages 13, 33 and 71.
On page 13, they have students smoking pot and using drug paraphernalia…
My first thought was “where was the advisor?” But then I read further…
Monday, the yearbook advisor, [...]

Is this opposite day or something?

This can’t be right…
Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday his remarks were “careless or misinterpreted” when he said the Bush administration has been the “worst in history” for its impact around the world.
I hope President Carter is o.k., it’s not like him to sound rational, particularly about President Bush.  Of course, he probably understands, that [...]

How will they blame Israel for this?

I wonder….
Lebanese troops pounded a Palestinian refugee camp with artillery and tank fire for a second day Monday, raising huge palls of smoke as they battled a militant group suspected of ties to al-Qaida in the worst eruption of violence since the end of the 1975-90 civil war.
Ooh!  I know!  If it wasn’t for Israel, [...]

A medical miracle

Egad!
Shannon Malloy was critically injured Jan. 25 when a car crash slammed her into the dashboard.
Her skull separated from her spine, although her skin, spinal cord and other internal organs remained intact.
The rare condition is known as clinically as internal decapitation, and it left her with no control over her head.
My first question is how [...]

When translations go bad

really bad…
Just go and see, and then ask yourself if you’d have checked the labels on the bottom of the sofa.
Now go here and find out more about crisis communications.

Why they call it “Boston Pops”

it packs a lot of punch….
Something else popped at the Boston Pops opening night concert - a fight broke out in the audience at Symphony Hall.
Television video of the fight Wednesday night showed two men struggling in the balcony - one with his shirt pulled off - as several people stood around them and the [...]
