FORT DIX, N.J. (AP) — Six men described by federal prosecutors as “Islamic militants” were arrested on charges they plotted to attack the Fort Dix Army base and “kill as many soldiers as possible,” authorities said Tuesday.
Documents filed in federal court in Oregon give one of the most detailed accounts yet of the arson, which destroyed eight structures and stood for five years as the nation’s most costly case of eco-vandalism.

When the SDS collapsed in 1969, the Weather Underground stepped forward, inspired by communist ideologies and embracing violence and crime as a way to protest the Vietnam War, racism, and other left-wing aims. “Our intention is to disrupt the empire … to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks,” claimed the group’s 1974 manifesto, Prairie Fire. By the next year, the group had claimed credit for 25 bombings and would be involved in many more over the next several years.
Call me what you want, I refuse to be labelled by anything other than what I label myself, but one thing I know…I am is consistent. Anytime someone targets innocent people for injury or death, my only hope is they get caught or killed before they have a chance to do any damage.
Let me be clear to those who want to label Bush, Clinton, et al as terrorists. They were never targeting innocents. In fact the United States has spent more money trying to find ways to not hurt innocent bystanders then any other civilization in the history of the world.
I call ’em like I see ’em, and in my book a terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist, certainly not a freedom fighter, and certainly not any current or recent U.S. Presidents.
Some folks might do well to remember that.
