Well when you’re just happy to be there, it makes it hard to not be satisfied with just being there. I think that’s what happened with the Rockies. I hope they take this hard and come back next year with a sense of not just getting to the World Series, but winning it.
As for me, I was just happy they got there because I thought that next year would be the year they would do some damage in the NL. That expectation just got raised by about 100%.
Great season Rox. Thanks for the great memories.
O.K., time to start panicking.
At least the Rockies stopped the Red Sox offense. Now they gotta start getting their own offense going.
With the next three at Coors Field it’s not time to start panicking yet….maybe time to get the paper bags out to stop the possible hyperventilating…but no panicking.
This is ugly, but that’s o.k. Better to get this all out of the way now instead of saving a bad game for another pitcher.
I think it’s time for another beer, or three.
Been on since noon and I’ll keep trying until I get a “yessir” or a “sorry bub”.
I let you know either way.
UPDATE: Turns out I got the “sorry bub”. I’m not that upset that I didn’t get tickets….UNLESS there turns out to be 10,000 Red Sox fans who got tickets online.
That would make me very angry. The Rockies better pray that didn’t happen today.
I guess the World Series tickets were a hot commodity.
The Rockies have suspended tickets sales after being overwhelmed by 8.5 million hits in an hour.
It sounds like there were a lot of very unhappy fans. I wasn’t expecting to get tickets, but still….this is ridiculous.
As a Public Relations person, this will be a very interesting situation to keep an eye on.
We’ll see how this turns out……
UPDATE: 10:05 a.m. and it’s not looking good.
UPDATE: 10:10 a.m. both Explorer and Firefox are going, but I’m not getting in. Will keep trying. I wish we could have sat outside for tickets. Not sure this idea was the greatest.
UPDATE: 10:20 a.m. and still in the cue to get to the server. Arrrrggggh! I wonder how many ticket scalpers have gotten through? I bet it’s a lot.
UPDATE: 10:30 a.m. got back to the please hold page. That could be good news or very bad news.
UPDATE: 10:42 a.m. still not getting any results. I’m just hoping that it’s real fans getting these tickets, but I’m not very optimistic.
UPDATE: 10:50 a.m. now my fingers are starting to hurt from all the refreshing. Depression is starting to set in.
UPDATE: 11:03 a.m. haven’t heard if they’re sold out or not, but I’m gonna keep trying until I get the “sold out” sign.
UPDATE: 11:15 a.m. now my explorer browser is freezing…nice. Still to confirmation on sold out tickets.
UPDATE: 11:25 a.m. news sites are saying tix are still available, but I’m not sure.
UPDATE: 12:48 p.m. well this certainly explains why I was having so much trouble. Egad!!!!
